Introducing a study designed to benefit patients suffering from the painful symptoms of endometriosis:

1nHealth is currently recruiting individuals living near San Diego, CA, whose participation may ultimately contribute to the availability of an enhanced treatment option for those who need it. Compensation for time and travel will be provided.

Painful Symptoms of Endometriosis

It’s no secret that endometriosis patients are subjected to intense discomfort triggered by the painful symptoms of the disorder. When endometrial tissue grows outside of the uterus, this is often the result.

Here is a breakdown of the most common pain-related symptoms:

Dysmenorrhea – Painful cramping that can occur before, and last until after, the menstruation period

Dyspareunia – Pain during or after sexual intercourse

Bowel Disorder – Pain during bowel movements or urination, often during the menstruation period

Excessive Bleeding – Heavy menstrual periods or spotting/bleeding between periods

Other symptoms: fatigue, gastrointestinal distress, nausea

Impact on Quality of Life (QoL)

The significance of this clinical trial should not be understated, as symptoms of endometriosis can have a profoundly negative impact on one’s psychological and social well-being.

Pain symptoms like chronic pelvic pain (CPP) have been known to influence the mental health of women; studies have revealed endometriosis to be linked with a higher risk of developing depression and anxiety disorders. Such disorders are commonly reported by women who experience CPP.

On a social-level, women who suffer from endometriosis may also experience relationship challenges and changes in sexual function. This is due to the potential for CPP and other painful symptoms to lead to a lack of desire, arousal difficulties and withdrawal.

Participation in this study will contribute to an understanding of the effectiveness of a new treatment option targeting symptoms of pain, which often have a negative impact on QoL.

What to Expect: Benefits and Convenience

Participants will receive expert care at a site location nearest to them. For this specific study, 1nHealth is seeking women ages 18+, living within a 25-mile radius of San Diego, CA.

Compensation for time and travel will be made available for those who complete the clinical trial while demonstrating protocol compliance. Determining initial eligibility is simple, and only requires you answer a few questions… should you qualify, we’ll be in touch!
